ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has expressed solidarity with retrenched DIN News journalists and workers and assured them of full support.

PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi said that at the recent FEC meeting in Quetta, they discussed issues confronted by the journalist community across the country. In this regard, a delegation led by Nasir Zaidi and FEC member Nasir Malik recently met DIN News journalists at the Lahore Press Club to assure them support.

“PFUJ is committed to raising its voice against retrenchments by media owners, including DIN News, and no stone will be left unturned for this purpose,” the union leaders said.

PFUJ, during the meeting, urged DIN News employees to speak about their issues at every forum. It said it would hold protest rallies as the situation was worsening.
